SOS77 - Soot Thank You

Good morning! Our new challenge at Shopping Our Stash is to create a project for Thanksgiving or a Thank You card!   It's always good to keep a few thank you cards on hand!
Since Canadian Thanksgiving is over I made a Thank You card.
Inspired by VSN challenge last weekend I tried my hand at Soot Stamping (you can find the tutorial HERE)- burned couple papers in the process, left unwanted finger prints on others.. here is what I made:
Looks cool - like an old photo negative :)

Stamp is from Serene Silhouettes (Stampin UP), red CS is Bazzill Pomegranate - rest is leftovers from old packs of papers. Sentiment is also from SU.

challenges:
Amusing Challenges - thank you
The paper girls - thank you
Sentimental Sundays - Thanks or Thanksgiving
Card Makin Mamas - Thanksgiving /Thank You

oh WOW! what a beautiful and dramatic card... and you've stamped in SOOT as in ASHES??!?!?! that sounds kind of weirdly scary to me, but on the other hand, wouldja LOOK at those results???! ok, then, bring on the SOOT!!! (& maybe some gloves? & fireplace tongs? & an extinguisher... JUST IN CASE!!!!!) :) :) :)

i would start a fire, for sure, so i have therefore never attempted this technique, and i never shall. me + flame + paper = disaster. But YOU have certainly pulled it off quite well!
