SOS86 - Nordic Christmas

It's Tuesday and with that a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash. This week we want you to use your oldest ribbons.
I'm a little late today - we have some internet problems.. really annoying.. :(
My card was inspired by the lovely inspiration picture at Jingle Belles.

I used the color scheme, hearts and snowflakes. I quite like the texture on it - feather, felt, ribbon and shiny paper... :)
My ribbons date back to ages when I first started papercrafting.. bought a bunch of inexpensive gross-grain ribbon - everyone was using it... so why not? I don't really like to use them, because they are stiff, but I had no idea that time.. so they stayed nice and safe in my drawer for years.

I covered a scrap piece of CS with double sided tape, adhered the ribbons and then used sizzix hearts die to cut the hearts.

Challenges:
Jingle Belles - inspiration picture
Kaboodle Doodles - ribbon
Addicted to stamps - texture
Crafting when we can - red & white

YES. You have hit the nail on the head. I had so much of that 'pretty' grosgrain, but it doesn't FEEL nice. Love all the texture :)

Wonderful lace work! I couldn't make out the ribbon though. Is it the red background of the heart clusters? If it is, it does look like red feathers at the back. Such wonderful illusion. ;-)

Thanks for joining us at Kaboodle Doodles’ “Ribbons” Challenge!

i think i have "card envy" missus! as soon as i saw the way ♥YOU♥ used YOUR ribbon i really wanted a "do over" so i could try that too! if you see a ribbon-encrusted heart card in my future, be sure to scroll down and see your name under "inspo"!!! :)

btw, this is lovely on its own, as a brilliant use of your oldest ribbon AND ALSO as a fab take on our "red white & jul" prompt at JINGLE BELLES! a stunning THREE-fer over there!!! ♥

OMG! Alica! What a GREAT idea!!! I was trying to figure out where your ribbon was and was blown away when you explained! I'm with Lauren! I want a do-over too! What inspiration for using up little bits of ribbon too! You have the wheels in my brain turning now!
Blessings,

How clever to die cut that *vintage* ribbon and what a cool effect (I'll be saving that idea to use myself one day) ... awesome holiday card ... so very glad you joined us at jingle belles.
