I made these 2 project using the inspiration pictures from The Photo-Synthesis Challenge Blog for their DT call.
The first project - a decorated cookie mix jar was inspired by this picture:I used SU CS (Kraft and Riding Hood Red) and Elements of Style stamp set also from SU. I stamped the main image randomly on white CS with Chocolate chip ink and accented some of the flowers with Riding Hood Red ink.My 11 inch long CS didn't get around the whole jar, so I used the ribbon lacing closure (not my invention - saw it on Michele Zindorf's blog). I think it's really practical too - if you want to re-use the jar, you don't have to tear of the paper band and remove layers of adhesives - just unlace it and take it off. I also decorated the lid and printed a recipe on a separate tag. The recipe is for Cranberry Hootycreeks - one of my favorites - with lots of cranberries and chocolate, so the red and brown color scheme works really well with this recipe.
I'm also entering it into Flourishes Release Week challenge - share your favorite recipe :)
The second card was inspired by the woven basket on the picture (see the embossing on the background panel) and the color scheme - I just got my Penny Black Stickeroos and I really wanted to use them :)I was also playing with coffee distressing (inspired by my friend Kristina's creations) - so I re-purposed yesterday's coffee this morning and you can see the results on the die cut label behind the image.I'm not a big fan of stickers but these Penny Black Stickeroos are so pretty and detailed, that I couldn't resist - great for quick cards or when you don't feel like coloring. What do you think?

What great work on the challenge, loving the laced up ribbon to hold it all together!
Wow, these are fabulous Alica! Good luck on the DT challenge!

Great projects and I LOVE that flower card, great colours and glad you were able to use that coffee technique :-)
This card is beautiful. The colors match your inspiration picture beautifully. What part of the card is a sticker? I couldn't tell. SCS (not2shabbydesigns)
