PSC42 - Something for boys - Halloween card

Good Morning and Happy Halloween to all who celebrate it. Today's Paper Sundaes Challenge is Something for the Boys. With today being Halloween I thought a Halloween card for a boy would be fitting. I started with image from Penny Black set Spooky - stamped the image on watercolor paper with Versafine, embossed it with clear EP and colored it with water based markers and aquapainter. I used Spellbinders Label 2 die for background panels. The white panel is embossed with Cuttlebug Forest Branches embossing folder. I stamped couple of bats from the same set, colored and cut them out to add a bit more spookiness :)

I'm entering it into the following challenge:
Creative Cottage - embossing - I used both dry and wet embossing
Paper Playtime - Halloween
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - anything that flies - bats
Crafty Catz - Halloween

Doodle Pantry - Saddle Up!

I've been busy the whole week, but thankfully it's Saturday and that means more crafty time.
For my today's card I used the wonderful horse image from Doodle Pantry's Saddle Up set.
Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the current Digital Tuesday Challenge and they want us to use a non-crafty item. I used a pieced of corrugated cardboard - thought it would go well with the masculine theme and image. The edges are torn and further distressed with Walnut stain distress ink. I'm entering it into the following challenges:
- Friday Sketchers - sketch
- Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - no ribbons or buttons
- Cards for Men - anything goes (as long as it's for a man)
- The Stamp Man Challenge - card for man

Materials:
Image - Doodle Pantry - Saddle Up
Coloring Media - Prismacolor pencils, TH Distress Ink - walnut stain, antique linen
Papers - Stampin Up - older Simply Scrappin set, corrugated card board
other - Spellbinders dies, metal clips, clear dew drops

PSC41 - Wags 'n Whiskers - Altered Can

Good morning and Happy Sunday! Today's challenge on Paper Sundaes is Natural Woman - that means using a woman image plus something from nature. For my project I used the Iris fairy image from our sponsor for this week - Wags 'n Whiskers. Instead of making a card I decided to decorated a coffee can - thought it would make a nice gift packaging or a treasure box for my DD.
The image was printed on watercolor paper and watercolored using SU markers and TH distress inks. The can was wider then I thought and the 12 inch paper didn't get all the way around so I made kind of lace up closure on the back (like how it came out). Then I just added flowers and leaves for decoration.
I'm entering it into Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge - use a die cut or a punch (I used both) and Flutter By Wednesday - anything with butterfly, fairy or angel.

Don't forget, Paper Sundaes is currently holding a DT call, so if you would like to join us and become one of the Sundae Girls you have until Tuesday, October 26th to apply!

Materials:
Image: Wags 'n Whiskers - Iris
Coloring - SU markers, TH distress ink, aquapainter
Paper: CS - SU Melon Mambo, DP - DCWV Spring glitter pack
Other: Spellbinders - label, meddalion dies, border punch, flowers, leaves, ribbon

Another Haute Tote card set

I know - you are all probably sighing - not another one of those... Sorry, can't help it - just love making these little totes ;)
For those who asked about the tutorial how to make the tote - I got the template from Creations by AR blog - printed the .pdf files, cut them out and then it's just a simple job of adhering the pieces together. So there is no tutorial needed - really!
I had the tote for some time and needed some matching cards to fill it up so here is what I created:
I used the same papers as for the tote (DCWV Spring glitter pack) and free digi sentiments from Raindrop Echo Designs (at least I think they are from them). The set contains 4 cards, but the other 2 are pretty similar to these (just on yellow CS with different sentiments) - so there is no need to show those too.

I'm entering them into the following challenges:
Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - Focus on Sentiment
Stamp Something - use a digi
ABC Challenge - F is for flowers

Materials:
Papers: DCWV Spring glitter pack, Yellow & Blue CS - Bazzill Smoothies
Ink: Toner, TH Tumbled glass distress ink for sponging
Embellishments - Flowers - Prima, Recollections, Wild Orchid, Spellbinder dies, SU die, brads, ribbon

Doodle Pantry - Cat and Mouse play

Wohoo! It's October 20 and that means another Doodle Pantry new release! So go and check out Laurie's fabulous digis.
For my today's card I used image and sentiment from one of the new releases - Cat and Mouse Play! The image is really sweet and the sentiments are perfect!
After creating all the fall and Christmas cards I felt like making something bright and girly.
I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils, cut it out and adhere it onto the background papers. Added some faux stitching along the sides and lots of bling. Oh and I just had to use that sentiment - it makes me giggle every time I look at it ;)
I'm entering it into the following challenges:
The Sweet Stop - sketch +bling
Tuesday Throwdown - Anything Goes
Mark's Finest Papers - Faux Stitching

Materials:
Image: Doodle Pantry - Cat and Mouse Play

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Today's challenge on Paper Sundaes is Change of Seasons and we have a wonderful sponsor this week - Paper Jewels. The leaves are just starting to change here and I'm really enjoying all the fall colors outside so I picked Autumn for my seasonal card.
For my card I used Spring Luna and colored her in Fall Colors using a mix of Copics and Prismacolor pencils. All the yellow bits are colored with a glitter pen. I was inspired by the current Card Pattern Sketch, just took a little artistic liberty with the shapes ;)

Christmas cards with Verve sketches

Last Saturday (on World Cardmaking Day) Verve celebrated with not one, but 5 sketch challenges.
I finally got time to play yesterday and here is what I created:
Sketch 1:
For the first card I used the Tired Santa image from Elizabeth O Dulemba. It's colored with Prismacolor pencils, papers are from DCWV (glitter stack and metalic stack)I'm entering this card into Digital Tuesday Challenge - use ribbon, buttons, bling +digi (no buttons, but all the other elements are there) and to Fab 'n' Funky challenge (use a digi)

Sketch 2:
For the second card I pulled out a card kit I had since last year - so I have no idea about manufacturers. Love the non-traditional colors though :) It's again colored with Prismacolor pencils, just inked the edges with Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink.
Sketch 3:
The third card is again a Christmas one - this time I used SU stamps (Touch of nature, Snow Swirled) - colored the birdie with markers and embossed with clear EP. Then I stamped the snowflakes and brayered the sky. Not your usual Christmas color combo again, but I quite like how it turned out.I'm entering this card into Anything Goes Challenge (Christmas)
The other 2 sketches are great too, but I just didn't have more time to create - maybe next time ;)

Clearly Delightful Challenge #10 and Doodle Pantry new release!

It's October 5th and that means another Clearly Delightful Challenge - this time the challenge is to use a Doodle Pantry image and a ribbon - easy right? And as always - you'll get a set of digi stamps just for participating!
For my today's card I used a brand new Doodle Pantry digi called Bass Fish - wonderful image for all the fishing enthusiasts in your life. Don't forget to check out the other wonderful images released today!
The image is colored with a mic of Copics and Prisma pencils and embossed with clear EP. Then I brayered the background and stamped some leaves.
The background panel used to be a pop can - I embossed it and colored it with Adirondack alcohol ink. I thought metal could go well with the manly image and I quite like how it turned out. What do you think?

I'm also entering this card into these challenges:
The Crazy Challenge - recycle (pop can)
Stamps R Us - Nature
