Silhouette Fairies in black and white

I bought a crafty magazine with fairies stamp set and papers a while ago, so I pulled it out to play.
I also had some other Lavinia stamps so I put them in the mix.
The first two were stamped on watercolor background, the other three on fun patterned paper than came with the stamp set. The main images were embossed to make them stand out more.

Paper Sundaes Challenge #5 - Glittery Spring

Shana and Christine came out with another fun challenge this week - Glittery Spring. This is a great challenge for me because February is really dreary in here and spring is still far away.

For my card I used Birthday Lauren Fairy from our sponsor Paper Makeup Stamps who will be gifting a winner of this challenge with a bag of stamp valued at ~$25. So come and play too!

I made the background with sticky tape and turquoise and light green glitter. Added some stickles on fairy's wings for extra sparkle. Cardstock is Bermuda Bay from SU.

The card also fits this week's Fussy and Fancy challenge that's called: Dazzle Us - well I was dazzled from all the glitter - so maybe you'll be too ;)
Happy Valentine's Day to all who celebrate it!

Rose Flower Fairy in distress

As you can probably see on my blog I just love fairies. This one - Rose Flower Fairy from Stamps Happen is no exception - what's not to love? ;)
I made this card for this week's Simon Says challenge and it's Shabby Shic (Shabby Chic is "showing signs of wear and tear, distressing, whites, worn or bleached out pastels, rustic" (courtesty of Wikipedia !!
)).
The fairy started on a white paper and was colored with Prisma pencils - then I added Stickles for a bit of bling. After the Stickles dried I started distressing - I used Antique Linen and Walnut Stain distress inks - until the image looked all antique and distressed. I did the same for the background papers (from Creative imaginations). Then just a soft pink velvet ribbon and couple of pink pearls and the card is done.

I will enter it into Flutterby Wednesday Challenge too where anything goes this week - as long as it has a butterfly, fairy or an angel.
