SOS232 - Botanical Vertigo card

This week's challenge at Shopping Our Stash is called "My Precious" and we want everyone to use something special, that you actually never wanted to use it.
for my card I used Vertigo sheets. If you never saw them before - they are thin plastic sheets from Imagine Crafts, that have this reflective layer, if you are staring at it for too long, almost makes you dizzy. They come in several patterns - this one is Taffeta. I got them some time ago - they look so cool and they were quite expensive, so I just took them out from time to time, looked at them and then put them back.
But I did it - cut into them and used them. I used Adirondack alcohol ink in Lettuce to color the main panel and a Cranberry one for the red flower. Looks better in real life, since you can see how the light reflects of it.
You can cut and  emboss the sheets in your die cutting machine, but I think they meant with the big dies, since I had a hard time using Thinlits on the flower.
The dies are from the new Botanical blooms set from Stampin Up, Polka dot strip and sentiment are from SU too.

Alicia, when I first saw this in our forum, I thought, "Oh, my goodness, that is stunning!" I have to try that technique. I am working on a project using alcohol inks, so you may have inspired me. I hope the sheets are still available. This is a fabulous project and I love CAS with a little umph. This has umph!

OMG, I have some of those sheets somewhere. I'm not hoarding them, though. I can't work with them since they make me a little queasy. ;/

I can see why you'd be hoarding that specialty paper! Wow! That looks soooo cool! I feel as if I should be swimming in it! LOL! What a gorgeous card! Merry Christmas!

Gosh I have just checked and I have some of this left from an age ago but mine is already green and the other sheet is red.
Fabulous background and some lovely colours you have used against it.
Thank you for joining our Anything but Christmas challenge here at Allsorts.

Love the bright colours! I do the same with certain papers, pull them out and look at them, admire them and put them away again LOL
