Hi!
I'm was getting overrun by scraps - I usually just throw them into a flat rate box and it was so full, that I did not even feel like going in and trying to find something in that mess - plus I have another box of backgrounds and colored images and a drawer of die cut things - nothing was ever used, since I always went for a new sheet of paper when I needed something.
SO I decided to change it and gave myself a 30 day challenge - make a card every day just from what's in my scrap boxes.
First I went through the scraps and sorted then by color - anything that was big enough for a card base I turned into a card base. Then I made a bunch of 4 x 5 1/4 inch layers and the rest went into ziploc bags sorted by colors - I will try to use these for die cuts and layering.
To give me ideas for layouts I printed out several pages of MFT sketches - you can find them HERE.
Now let's start the challenge - I promise that for the next 30 days no new papers will be cut into and I will do my best to reduce my stash. It should not take up too much time, because I will be mostly using images I colored before and stashed away
Day 1
For my first card I used Penny Black hedgies I had colored years ago (with Prismacolor pencils), Sentiment is from SU and the little fence border was punched. Everything else is from my scraps.
I'm entering it into these challenges:
Crafty Friends - Animals
Cute Card Thursday - Critters
