CAS Ornament Cards

Since I'm a big fan of non-traditional Christmas cards, I made couple more for Flourishes Christmas with a twist challenge.

This time I used ornament from All That Glitters set and made them very clean and simple. Color panel is made using acrylic block technique.

Flourishes - Simple Orchids

This card was inspired by Julie Koerber's card in this week's 10 minute Thursday Creations at Flourishes blog. I really liked the simplicity and elegance of her card, so I tried to create something similar

I used stamp from Orchids set, stamped it on watercolor paper with Versamark and embossed it with detailed gold EP. Then I just quickly colored the flower centers with Victorian Velvet and Worn Lipstick Distress Inks and sponged the background with Victorian Velvet DI. Sentiment is from the same set.

Doodle Pantry New Release -Cattails

Today is Doodle Pantry new release day and also a start of a new challenge - all you need to do is to create a project with a Doodle Pantry image - easy, right?
I have a CAS card for you today - using cattails from Cattail pond set. I used the Cattail image twice and layered them over each other to get a bigger bunch. They are printed on Kraft CS and colored with Prismacolor pencils. I outlined the image with white to make it stand out a bit more. The sentiment is from another newly released set called Only God.
I used Basic Grey paper from Origins collection and a vanilla card base. Brads and ribbon are from SU.
