PSC45 - Thank you card with Penny

Good Morning and Happy Sunday. Today's Paper Sundaes challenge is this fabulous and easy to follow sketch:
We have a fantastic sponsor - Paper Jewels store - with a wonderful sellection of Bildmalarna, Sweet Pea, CC Designs and Spesch stamps. Go check out their fantastic "Buy 2 - get 1 free" promotion.
I used my brand new Penny stamp from Spesch. She was really fun and easy to color. I really wanted to use my Bo Bunny Winter Joy papers, so I picked my color combo from it. The green panel is just the other side of the DP. Don't you just love papers you can use for more themes - like this paper that's from a Christmas collection, but doesn't look Christmas-y on this card.

Challenges:
Sentimental Sundays - Thank you
Creative Card Crew - Give Thanks
Stamp Something - Something with Thanks
Paper Pretties - Thank you
Crazy Challenge - Thank You (or Thanksgiving)

PSC39 - Change of Seasons - Fall Luna

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Today's challenge on Paper Sundaes is Change of Seasons and we have a wonderful sponsor this week - Paper Jewels. The leaves are just starting to change here and I'm really enjoying all the fall colors outside so I picked Autumn for my seasonal card.
For my card I used Spring Luna and colored her in Fall Colors using a mix of Copics and Prismacolor pencils. All the yellow bits are colored with a glitter pen. I was inspired by the current Card Pattern Sketch, just took a little artistic liberty with the shapes ;)
I used Basic Grey Indian Summer DP and the pearls are also from Basic Grey. I made the flower from a wide organza ribbon (die cut the layers and then melted the edges over the candle).

I'm also entering this card into following challenges:
Basic Grey Challenge - bling - glitter pen, pearls
Sweet Pea Stampers - brads or bow -brad in the middle of the flower

#108 - Sweet Pea - Bamboo Serenade

This post is number 108 - that means you still have time to enter my blog candy draw - check the first post on the page.
I didn't use my lovely Sweet Pea stamps in over a week - what a shame ;) So I just had to use them. This time I took Bamboo Serenade (you can find it at Jenny's Paper Jewels store) and colored her with a mix of Copics and distress inks to match the background panel. Yes, I had the background first - stamped my brand new leaf background stamp from Stampendous on glossy cardstock, embossed it with clear EP and then sponged the CS with Broken glass and Spiced Marmalade distress inks.
The tulle ribbon is from Paperworks co and I really like the softness of it - need to get bow-easy though - my bows are far from perfect. ;)

I'm entering it into following challenges:
Paper Jewels - ribbons & flowers
Stamptacular Sunday challenge - buttons and bows
Cute Card Thursday - trees/leaves

Come Softly - T-slide card

I've seen this cool kind of card on SCS so I decided to try and make one. It's called a T-Slide Card and you can find the tutorial here.
I used a Sweet Pea stamp called Come Softly and colored it with Copic markers. If you like her now is a good time to buy as Paper Jewels are having a 15% off sale. After I added some sparkly highlights with a glitter pen and punched borders (check out the new Paper Jewels challenge) around the image I mounted the card front on a slider card made from 2 shades of purple metalic cardstock from DCWV. Love these smooth papers - they look much better in real life than on picture. The camera/light makes the purple look a bit weird. Oh well, what can I do...
I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
My Time to Craft - Butterfly Bliss
Paper Jewels - Fancy Border

Sweet Pea - Koi in Red, White and Blue

This week's challenge on Sweet Pea stampers is to used Red, Blue and White. This is not my usual color combination so I tried to imagine which of my Sweet Pea stamps would look good in these colors. It took some time, but when I looked at Koi, I could instantly see her in Red, Blue and White. So here she is:The image is colored mostly with Prismacolor pencils (only the skin is done with copics), highlighted some areas with glitter pens and added pearls on the lotus flowers. The panels behind the main image are from K&Co and the background is SU specialty paper sponged with various shades of blue.
The sketch is from Moving Along With Time challenge and I'm also entering it into Clearly Delightful Challenge (use pearls, bling or buttons)

Sweet Pea - Serene Night

I wish you good morning and hope you had a great weekend.
I have another Sweet Pea card for you - today I played with Serene Night. And when I say played I really did - I made 2 versions of one image. I stamped both of them on watercolor paper, but embossed one with white EP. Then I tried to color both of them the same - to see the different results. Coloring the white embossed image was a bit tricky - because I couldn't see very well what is what - good I had another one stamped in black :)
But enough talk and see for yourself:I used simple layouts for both of them, both have embossed and glimmer misted back panels. Only the colors and embelishments are different. If you would like to see the details, just click on the image. What do you think?

Sweet Pea - Blue Rose Tatoo in Earthy Colors

I made this card for the current Sweet Pea Stampers - the theme was to pick one of the elements (Earth, Wind or Fire) and interpret it in a card. As you could probably guess I picked Earth.I used Blue Rose Tatoo stamp, stamped on watercolor paper. It's been colored with water based ink and aquapainter in earthy colors. For the background I used an actual copper plate (no, it's not a cardstock, but a copper plate used for manufacturing PCBs) - It's a really thin one so I was able to emboss it and attach it to the CS with a sticky strip.
I used a sketch from Card Patterns, flipped it and used rhinestones instead of the circles.
and here is a detail:

Mimosa and Mimo in Summer

Wohoo! It's July 1st - Happy Canada Day to all Canadians!
Today I have a trully summery card for you - a pop-up card with Mimosa Dock and Mimo Tree stamp on it. The images are colored with Copic markers (mostly), cut out and pasted into the scene.
I tried to create a summery background for them with water, sun, sky - the back panel is sponged and the bottom (water) is brayered. The plants are from Silhouettes set from Inque Boutique and the water ripples are from Waterlily set from Flourishes.
I kept the outside really simple, only glittery papers and some butterflies.

Sweet Pea Easel card in pink and black

I got this wonderful pack of flowery papers and printed velum and decided to use it instead of stashing it. Most of them are really feminine and soft looking - perfect match for Sweet Pea cameo stamps - not sure exactly how is this plate called, Jenny in Paper Jewels doesn't have them anymore, but she has a wonderful selection of other Sweet Pea stamps. For coloring the image I used probably all the media I have - the face is done with Copis, hair and flowers with Prisma pencils, background is chalked and I used pink glitter pen on the flower centers and in her hair.
The card base is Melon Mambo CS. I don't have a velum adhesive so I stitched the velum layer on. The medalion from my good friend Kristina (thank you) came really handy :)
I'm entering it into the following challenges:
Pink Elephant - Pink & Black
Creative Card Crew - Easel Card
Sweet Pea Stampers - stitching
BaLiSa Challenge - Pink, White and one more color
Bee Crafty - pink and girly
Crafty Creations - Shine (used bling and glitter pen)
The Corrosive challenge - Black + White + one more (pink)

Sweet Pea - Fly Dandelions

Good Morning! This is my last Paper Jewels post this month and I have another Sweet Pea card for you. This one is called Fly Dandelions.I had this wonderful origami paper from my friend Kristina, so I decided to pick colors from it and use them on the image. The colored circle is cut out and pasted on top of another/not colored image. Most of the image is colored with Prismacolor pencils and I added gold accents with Prismacolor gold pen to match the paper. The layout is simple, I just added a white satin ribbon and white pearls.

Sweet Pea - Altered Composition Notebook

Good Morning and Happy Victoria Day for everyone in Canada.
This week I decided to create something else than a card, so I altered a composition notebook. This kind of notebooks is really easy to alter as they have harder, smooth cover and no spiral. I used one of the cameo stamps from Sweet Pea Ching-Chou Kiuks Sheet #14 - don't know if they have names. You can buy them and other Sweet Pea stamps in Paper Jewels store. The sunflowers of her hair reminded me of late summer so I used Indian Summer papers from Basic Gray. The background paper is from K&Co. She's colored with a mix of Copics and Prisma pencils. The butterflies are made with SU Beatiful Wings die and MS punch. The whole from is spritzed with bronze Glimmer Mist for extra shine.
I'm entering it into the following challenges: Basic Grey - punch it, Flutter by Wednesday (butterflies and flowers) and Crafts and Me challenge (anything but a card)

Sweet Pea - Unregrettable Pirate Life

Good Morning! It's Monday again - busiest day of the week for me, but it's May, that means spring and spring makes me happy.
When coloring skin, I usually go for pale, Caucasian skin, so today I decided to play a bit with skin colors. And what's better for that than Sweet Pea stamps - they usually have lots of skin showing.
I pulled out my brand new stamp called Unregrettable Pirate Life and made not one, but 2 cards with it.
The mermaid on the first one has a really sun-tanned blondie look, so I paired her up with bright fun pink and blue papers. I started with darkest earth color Copic I have - Barely Beige (I know, it's almost a crime to have no browns - will work on it soon). She looked kind of baked, so I tried to tone it down with brown Prisma pencils. The CS is SU Melon Mambo and the blue panels are from Corredination Whitewash collection (same paper, both sides). And of course I added lot of bling. The sketch is from Crazy 4 Challenges. The image on the second one was colored with Prisma pencils only, the skin has several shades of brown. This mermaid reminds me of a Gypsy, or maybe Latina., so I added a glittery teal trim and a big flower (Prima) to the card. The DP is from K&Co Que Sera and the CS is Gable Green.
This sketch is from Friday Sketchers. I'm also entering this card into Crafts and Me Challenge - the theme is Sparkle. What do you think?

Paper Jewels May Challenge - navy, yellow and wine red

If you are looking for Paper Sundaes challenge card, scroll down!

It's a first Sunday in May and that means it's time for another Paper Jewels challenge. This time it's a color challenge - navy, yellow and wine red.For my card I used my Tossa Get Well stamp and colored her with Prismacolor pencils. Then came the most challenging part - finding the right papers - since I didn't find any I had to make my own. I brayered a piece of stripy DP from SU Bride collection with red & pomegranate ink from one side, yellow from the other side. Then just a sheer navy ribbon/bow with yellow button, Get Well sentiment and a card is done.

Spring Luna

We had a wonderfuly sunny weekend here so I'm in a spring mood. That's the reason I picked Spring Luna from Sweet Pea and created a card full of spring green ;) You can pre-order her and many other fabulous stamps from Ching-Chou Kiuks collection from Paper Jewels. The image is stamped on watercolor paper and colored with a mix of water based inks and markers. I used K&Co Que Sera designer papers and Cameo Coral CS. The Sketch is from Clearly Delightful current challenge. I added some stitching, lace and a velvet ribbon for more texture. It matches the Sweet Pea Customer Challenge perfectly - they want us to make a Spring card and to use Green, Yellow and Pink.
I'm also entering this card in the following challenges: Twisted Thursday, Crafty Catz and Prairie Fairy - they all want us to use green
