SS452 - Rockin' Birthday with Anya

I made this card for the current sketch at Sketch Saturday
and here is the sketch
I flipped the sketch and used an Anya stamp from TGF - could not find the exact image name, I had it for years, so I think it's retired. Anya is colored with with alcohol markers and I made the resto of the card really sparkly. Silver foil CS embossed with SU embossing folder, red glitter paper and black glitter tape.

Challenges:
Cardz 4 Galz - teen cards

SOS209 - Ian's Fishing Birthday

This week's challenge at Shopping Our Stash is called Gingham style and we would like to see creations with squares, gingham or checkered.
Well, now this is totally out of my alley... you wouldn't believe how hard it was to find a paper that fits this in my whole stash - billion of other patterns and almost no plaid/squares or gingham :) But I finally found one in an old echo park pack and here is the end result:
Image is from The Greeting Farm, colored with Prismacolor pencils. Cardstock is SU Moss Meadow, twine, buttons and sentiment also from SU.

Flowers, Fairies and Baseball

and here I am again with more cards:
first up is a card for my sister's B-day. Background was created by sprayed 3 different shades of glimmer mist  - I used butterfly die cuts as masks. I also died the lace. Flower is one of the ones I made for last week's ABAC challenge. It's really shimmery, as are the golden leaves.
challenges:
Fab 'n' Funky - things with wings - butterflies
2 sisters - things with wings

second is a Christmas card with Poinsettia Fairy from Sweet Pea Stamps - I haven't play with these beauties for some time - so I was due :)
She's colored with Prismacolor pencils and the background is just simple embossed CS.
challenges:
Charisma cardz - things with wings
Crafting for all seasons - things with wings
Love to Create  - things with wings

my 3rd card has more embossing and also Baseball Ian from The Greeting Farm - no sport themed papers here, so I just kept the background clean and simple. Added a bit of rugged-ness with inks and sanding.
challenges:
Simon Says Stamp - embossing
Dutch Dare - all things boys

PSC74 - Mermaid Anya easel card

Good morning and Happy Sunday!
This week's Paper Sundaes Challenge is to create an Easel or Twisted Easel Card.
My DD's friend is having a swimming birthday party, so I thought a mermaid card would work for it. I used Mermaid Anya from TGF - you can find her at Simon Says Stamp - our sponsor for this week.

She's colored with a mix of Copics and Prismacolor Pencils and her tail is covered with Stickles. The shells are real - from our vacation on Mayan Riviera - graciously donated from my DD's shell collection. I used superglue to attach them and it holds well :)

Challenges:
Crafts 4 Eternity - embellishments starting with R - ribbon, rhinestones
Fairy Knoll - Sparkle
Totally Papercrafts - die cuts and punches
Just Add Ink - add some coloring

TGF - My Guy Ian in Brown & PB picture frame

It's Friday! It's rainy and humid, but it's Friday anyway ;)
My friend Danderella has an inspiration challenge on her blog - here is the inspiration picture (not hard to get inspired, eh?) and here is what I created:The image is colored with Copics and I used several shades of recycled brown CS from K&Co. I know he looks more like Edward, I was inspired by the shades of brown. The only embelishment is stitching. The sentiment is from TLC and the Sketch is from current Simon Says Challenge.

Next I want to show you this really easy-to-make picture frame. I used a plain white picture frame from IKEA as you can clearly see and Penny Black Stickerros plus flowers from my stash. I'm entering it Penny Black challenge - anything but a card.

PSC10 - Paper piecing - Mermaid Anya

It's Sunday again - where did the week (and March Break) go?
This week's challenge on Paper Sundaes is paper piecing. It's pretty easy if you have a stamp with nice clear lines - so come and play. We have a great sponsor too - you can win a $15 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp!
Now to my card - I picked Mermaid Anya from Greeting farm (you can get her at Simon Says Stamps) and Que Sera Sera DP from K&Company. I paper pieced her hair and tail. Her body is colored with Copic Markers.
The background panel is stamped with Koi fish from Flourished stamp set Waterlilies. I sponged the edges with Tempting Turquoise ink and outlined the edges with silver marker for extra sparkle.
I'm entering this card in The Corrosive Challenge (paper piecing too!)
