SU Potted Geraniums

I just received my Potted Geraniums bundle and I had to start playing with it.

It's a layering stamp set, but it's easy to work with, not fussy at all. SO I just played with different color combinations for leaves, flowers and pot too. Which ones is your favorite? I like the darker leaves on the right (granny apple and old olive) and flowers on the left one (polished pink and melon mambo) Also love the sentiment die - fits the set sentiments perfectly. Stencil is also SU, but probably retired, inked with Crumb Cake ink

SOS265 - Good Word for Christmas Card with Stampin' Up Dies

This week's challenge at Shopping Our Stash is called What's the Good Word? and we want you to use word dies.

For my card I decided to use dies only - and I used Flourish dies from Stampin' Up with a last year's Christmas Greetings sentiment die (also from Stampin Up).

Flowers, Fairies and Baseball

and here I am again with more cards:
first up is a card for my sister's B-day. Background was created by sprayed 3 different shades of glimmer mist  - I used butterfly die cuts as masks. I also died the lace. Flower is one of the ones I made for last week's ABAC challenge. It's really shimmery, as are the golden leaves.
challenges:
Fab 'n' Funky - things with wings - butterflies
2 sisters - things with wings

second is a Christmas card with Poinsettia Fairy from Sweet Pea Stamps - I haven't play with these beauties for some time - so I was due :)
She's colored with Prismacolor pencils and the background is just simple embossed CS.
challenges:
Charisma cardz - things with wings
Crafting for all seasons - things with wings
Love to Create  - things with wings

my 3rd card has more embossing and also Baseball Ian from The Greeting Farm - no sport themed papers here, so I just kept the background clean and simple. Added a bit of rugged-ness with inks and sanding.
challenges:
Simon Says Stamp - embossing
Dutch Dare - all things boys

ABAC2 - Lace flowers

Good morning! Two weeks passed since we started ABAC challenge blog, so it's time for our next challenge. This one is easy too -  you just need to make sure, your project has TEXTURE

I was playing with fabric and lace and made some flowers this week - I used this flower tutorial

I used wide lace, satin, muslin and tulle for them. I cut out the petals using TH Tattered florals and Heartfelt creations Posy Patch dies. The thick dies cut fabric better than the thin metal nesting ones, but if you don't have anything else you can use those too - just be prepared to snip some threads. They all started out as white/cream and I dyed them with Glimmer Mists. I would make more, but these where all the Glimmer Mist colors I had :) You can speed up the drying with heat tool, just be careful around tulle - or you'll end up with a bunch of melted tulle mess - don't ask how I know ;)

After layering I decorated the flowers with pearls, beads ans stickles, some even got feathers.

Challenges:
Simply Create Too - anything goes
Try it Out Tuesday - anything goes
Through the Craftroom door - anything goes

Cupcakes, flowers & Easter cards

I've been busy making Easter card last week - I have to mail them overseas very soon - like yesterday :)
Here are 2 of them:
For the first one I used a sketch from Clean & Simple - image from my stash, colored with Prisma pencilsI'm also entering it into Paper Play - spring colors & Paper Sundaes - Spring Blossoms

This one was very easy - I used a precolored digi I received for playing in Doodle Pantry challenge. Embossing folder is from Spellbinders.
I'm entering it into
Di's Digi Designs challenge - emboss it,
Dream Valley Challenges - Easter

Next Saturday is my first craft show and I needed to make some cute little items for impulse buyers. I made some flowers from satin, organza & tule layers, burned the edges and sewed them together. There are different sizes - I glued the smaller ones on hair clips and the bigger ones on pins to attach to clothes/bags (I'm wearing one right now)
what else did I make? Cupcakes - the non-fat kind. They are felt pincusions with pins for sprinkles. I used tutorial from The Starter Home. Flowers were cut using Tattered florals die.
What do you thin? Would you buy something like these?
