SOS227 - Masculine Birthday with Horse

This week's challenge at Shopping Our Stash is called "Howdy, Pardner" and we want  to see creations with Western theme.

For my card I used a horse stamp from Inkadinkado and couple years old /retired Stampin Up papers.
I used a sketch from Sketch Saturday and kept it simple for a nice masculine birthday card.

SOS174 - The Witch is in Town

This week's challenge at Shopping Our Stash is Halloween.. I don't make many Halloween cards, but have couple older stamps to use if I need to make one :)

The witch is from an older Inkadinkado set and I combined it with my new SU die cuts.
Background was brayered using Wisteria Wonder and Blackberry Bliss.

SOS151 - Dark Horse

It's Tuesday, and time for a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash. This week is Sing It To Me, and we'd like you to use a song to inspire your project. Oh, and if you're thinking about using Happy Birthday (or its sibling: Happy Anniversary) as your song, forgetaboutit! That would be way to easy!

Since I have a preteen daughter, our house resonates with Selena Gomez and Katy Perry - and obviously if you hear the same song ten times a day it will get stuck in your head... so my inspiration song is Katy Perry's Dark Horse:

I know the video is completely different, but before I saw it I always had this image of dark horses under stormy skies in my head :)

The stamp is from Inkadinkado, Sky is made with Soft Sky and our very new Lost Lagoon inks, for the grass I used Pear Pizzaz and Mossy Meadow (new) inks.

Inkadinkado - Brayered Meadow

The weather feels almost like fall these days so I was in a mood to make something fall/nature inspired.
I opened my never before inked stamp set from Inkadinkado called Meadow and created this card:

The color scheme is from Muse challenge inspiration picture as well as idea for brayered background.

SOS105 - Oldest Stamp

Good Morning! It's Tuesday and that means new challenge at Shopping Our Stash. This week we ask you to use your oldest stamp.
I used a collage stamp called Time Flies from Inkadinkado.. this stamp is so old, that I was actually surprised to see it when I went digging to the bottom of my stamp stash. I thought I gave it away a long time ago. :)

I remember I used it for split-negative technique.. so I tried it again and kept the rest of the card simple.

SOS24 - Day & Night

Welcome to another Shopping Our Stash challenge - this week's theme is Western/Sport and anything related.
When I first see the western/cowboy theme I got a little scared as I have no western stamps - but then I thought - horses are related - and I had an idea right away ;)
So here are my cards - yes, I made 2 - I started with 2 images - didn't know which will turn out better, but I like them both, so here they are - my DD calls them Day & Night.
The stamp is from Inkadinkado - it's colored with copics and heat embossed. Then I got my brayer and my fingers all inky and created the background.

SOS23 - Fall Spider Card

Welcome to another Shopping Our Stash Challenge -this week is super easy and really exciting - easy, because the challenge is to make a Halloween or fall card. Exciting , because it's sponsored by our first regular sponsor - Bugaboo Stamps.
I don't really use Halloween cards, so I decided to go with the fall theme - the last week was really dark, rainy and dreary here, so I had to use some light, blue skies and sunshine in my card. I revisited Michelle Zindorfs' older tutorials and when I seen this one, I just had to make it.

Inspired card for my mom

When I saw the inspiration picture on Shabby Tea Room Blog I new I had to make a card - and I finally had time to make one today. I wanted to make an interesting, but flat card (for easy mailing overseas) for my mom - it's going to do a double duty as her Birthday is only a day from Mother's Day. :)
I used the butterfly stamp from Inkadinkado set called Mindscapes - stamped it on glossy CS with Versamark, embossed it and then sponged a rainbow of colors over it. Then I stamped another butterfly, sponged it the same way, cut it out and layered it over the first image, only sticking down the body. I also applied some Mill Hill beads on the body for extra interest. What do you think?

PSC36 - Fall Colors with Inkadinkado

It's Sunday again and with it another Paper Sundaes challenge - this week we are challenging you to use fall or Halloween colors.
This week I decided to do something a bit different than color a picture and use it on a card. So I pulled out my neglected Inkadinkado Stamps - Falls Season and All Hallow's Eve (you can find them at our sponsor for this week - Simon Says Stamp).Also pulled out my brayer, sponges and inks and created this card - inspired by Michelle Zindorf.
I kept the layout really simple to keep the image as a focal point.

PSC20 - Inkadinkado branches in Kraft and Blue

Good Morning! How are you doing this beautiful weekend?
Paper Sundaes has a color challenge for you this week - Kraft and Blue. Isn't this a great combo - any blue works with Kraft (IMHO!). I decided to use Night of Navy and my very neglected Inkadinkado set Delicate Branches. You can find this set at Simon Says Stamp - our sponsor for this week. The image was stamped on Kraft CS with Night of Navy and White ink - the white parts are embossed. I used Spellbinders Label 2 to cut out the image. The background was embossed with the new SU embossing folder and sponged with Navy ink. The sentiment is from SU too.

PSC13 - Scene - Brayered horses

This week Paper Sundaes has another great challenge for you - create a scene. This can be done in many ways - using various stamps, ink, die cuts..
For my cards I used inks and brayer. The images are from Inkadinkado set called Horses. I stamped them in black Versafine, embossed and colored them with markers. Then I brayered the background. On the first card I attempted to create a sunset using SU Medalion as a sun. Cardstock, sentiment and ribbon are from SU.On the second card I masked the moon and brayered the night sky around it. The stars are made with white gel pen. I'm entering them into The Pink Elephant challenge - Nature and to The Corrosive Challenge - texture (wet embossing on the first one, dry embossing on the second card)
