30 day Use Your Scraps challenge - Day 30 - All that's left

It's the last day of my 30 day scrap challenge and I will post the rest of cards I made during these 30 days and didn't post. 

Can't say I used up all my scraps, but I got into a habit of using them and going into my sorted scrap box first.

Day 29

Current challenge at Shopping Our Stash is called Fabulous February so you could be inspired by symbols for February, like stone: Amethyst or flower: Violet or Primrose.\

I went with the purple for Amethyst and created this:

Today I have this cute card with Penny Black cat - image is colored with alcohol markers (as usual)

I used one of MFT old sketches for layout.  I layered 2 of the same die cut sentiments on top of each other to give the sentiment more dimension.

30 day Use Your Scraps challenge - Day 27 - Painted Season Floating Frame

Day 27 of my scrappy challenge bring s a new experiment. I tried Jennifer McGuire's floating frame technique and here is the third attempt :)

I used my new Painted Seasons stamp set and dies. colors are Blueberry Bushel, Tempting Turquoise, Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green. Sentiments are also from SU

First attempt ended with Press N Seal - ripping the top layer of die cuts of, so then I didn't press so hard and was careful when removing it. It's a bit fiddly technique, but the results are pretty cool.

For the stamped images I recycled lot of white cardstock that had something else stamped on the other side - you know when you are trying to stamp the perfect image and you smudge it and put it aside for future use. Just make sure it's a good quality CS for this technique - it does seem to make a difference for Press N Seal

Day 26

Today I made a card using Penny Black stamp called Fluffy Passenger

I quickly colored the image with alcohol markers and added a bit of Spica glitter pen on the bicycle. The stripy panel in the middle was created with  several different washi tapes. Then I added a spray of various flowers in the corner.

Day 25

 - brings a simple little Christmas card - no idea where the image is from - maybe Bugaboo, but I had it for years

Just very quickly colored it with markers and layered it (together with punched borders) on top of poinsettia embossed cardstock. Kept it flat for easy mailing

Today I have a fun little masculine card for you, featuring another boy stamp from Lili of The Valley.

Image is colored with alcohol markers and the cloudy paper seemed like a perfect match for the image.

I found these patterned papers in my scraps and the argyle pattern really reminded me of golfing vests -  exactly like this little guy from Lili of The Valley is wearing - so I just have to match them together

Day 20.

It's a day past Valentine, but I just love these digis from Power Poppy - they are called Va-Va-Valentines and they are fun and can be used anytime when you want to show your love to someone not just at Valentine's Day.

and who said that Valentines have to pink and red? The black paper in the background is actually from a Halloween pack :) Image is colored with alcohol markers and I used a falling hearts embossing folder on the yellow cardstock.

Today I have a fun House Mouse Birthday Card for you with another scrappy background. Background was done the same way as on the Day 9 card.

This week's challenge at Shopping Our Stash is called Make Your Mark and we want everyone to use their markers and color

I used a digi from Ching-Chou Kuik called Come Softly and colored it with alcohol markers. 

For the background I used a piece of pre-embossed paper and sponged it with different blue inks for ombre effect. Added a bunch of flower for dimensional effect.

I'm almost half way through my 30 day scrap challenge and believe it or not, it doesn't even look like I made a big dent in my scrap stash.

I used an old image from my stash - it might be from Whipper Snapper, but not sure and created a shaker card.

Used fun pastel colored sequins and spring looking background paper to complete this Easter card.

30 day Use Your Scraps challenge - Day 13 - Puzzle Deer Christmas Card

Day 13

on this card I wanted to showcase the last bit of my favorite Christmas papers from BoBunny - it's probably at least 4-5 years old and I can't find it anymore. But it's better if it's on a card than in my scrap box, right?

I realized that the piece was exactly the same size as my puzzle die so I cut it up and put it back together as a puzzle. 

Note for future use: looks a little flat, so I will probably adhere several pieces of paper before using the die next time. 

Sentiment and the deer are embossed with silver EP and then I had a bit of trouble taking a photo of it since it was too shiny :)

It's Day 12 of my scrap challenge and it's time for another birthday card:

The sentiment/focus of the card is from Stampin Up, as well as the other stamp, papers and inks. Sentiment was stamped several times with different ink colors, lines were then cut out adhered to the gold embossed sentiment.

ok, so I made Valentines, Christmas ans birthday cards this month, now it's time for a Christmas one:

I used an older stamp from My Favorite Things  - from their Who's That Girl collection and colored it with alcohol markers. Papers are not exactly Christmas-y, but they work with the coloring and together with the silver ribbon make a pretty festive/non-traditional card.
